This adaptation of a Chinese folktale is illustrated with Chinese-style prints in red, and a frontispiece design in gold. Printed in black and red on handmade Japanese paper. A beautifully printed miniature is made even more notable with a unique designer binding by the renowned designer binder, Tini Miura. Bound in green morocco with red and black onlays depicting a box and fan, and gilt and silver starlike designs scattered across the covers. Red leather doublures complete the elegant design. Mint, in marbled slipcase trimmed with tan and red leather. Top edge painted green and gauffered with silver stars. (2 1/2 by 3; 47x62mm).
